The brief

Young founders get the same generic advice at every stage: a deck review, a growth checklist, a course. WriteTalent set out to put the actual workflow in one place — venture tools plus AI agents that help a founder sharpen a pitch, launch, and execute marketing, with a chat assistant that stays inside the product.

The hard constraint is trust. An agent that writes a pitch has to be useful in a real review, not just impressive in a demo, and the founder has to be able to see and correct what it did.

The role was not only shipping. As the forward deployed engineer I helped run the business with the founding team: hosting workshops, meeting founders and clients, and turning what we heard into the next product change.

The approach

I work as a forward deployed engineer: sitting with the founding team and the first users, scoping the workflow, then shipping the web app and agent automations end to end. That means prompt and tool design as much as API and interface work — the assistant needs the right context and a visible trail, or it is worse than a blank page.

A good part of the week is in the field: hosting workshops, meeting clients, watching where the platform is unclear. Those sessions are the input — what to improve, what to simplify, and what the business needs next.

The outcome

The platform and its agent workflows are in active development with the first cohort of founders, and the scope grows with what they actually use.

The workshop and client loop keeps the product honest: what founders say in a session becomes the next improvement, not a separate roadmap.
